Dry cleaning / cleaning in case of soiling
Archival and library materials are often stored unprotected and in unsuitable places. These sites are an ideal breeding ground for mould spores and have allergenic potential.
In a soiled state, archive and library materials cannot be used, nor can they be filmed or digitised. We provide:
- Assessment of the infested materials with regard to extent, type and intensity
- Salvaging, packing and removal of the objects
- If necessary, sterilisation with parameters specially set for archival and library materials (optionally with ethylene oxide or gamma rays) to kill mould spores or germs and microorganisms from e.g., faecal deposits
- Removal of soiling under the microbiological workbench
- Storage in the stacks
